Catherine the Second Russian Imperial Stout

This beer ingredient kit is inspired by one our favorite beers, North Coast's Old Rasputin. This kit is based on the tradition of 18th Century English brewers who supplied the court of Russia's Catherine the Great.

It is a big beer that is bursting with flavor. An intensely flavored, big, dark ale. Roasty, fruity, and bittersweet, with a noticeable alcohol presence. Dark fruit flavors meld with roasty, burnt, or almost tar-like sensations. Like a black barleywine with every dimension of flavor coming into play.
