Blichmann's patent pending button louver false bottom is a hybrid of a perforated false bottom (high efficiency) and a slotted manifold (plug resistance) to give you the best of BOTH designs.

Not recommended for boil kettles - use the optional HopBlocker.

 

 

Blichmann's custom made pots feature a stepped bottom. Their optional patent pending button louver false bottom sits on this ledge for a tight seal. During lauter, the weight of the grains pushes it against the ledge making an impervious seal virtually eliminating sidewall shunting and the resultant loss of efficiency. All this AND an incredibly low foundation water.
